Effect of UFC on the Microscopic Pore Structure of Cemented Soil in Humic Acid Environment

Peat soil is widely distributed in the Dianchi Lake area of Yunnan, and effect cement deep-mixing method on peat foundation mainly affected by humic acid (HA). In this paper, a composite curing agent formed adding different proportions ultra-fine (UFC) to ordinary Portland (OPC) used cure HA-containing cohesive soil. Mercury intrusion porosimetry (MIP), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), X-ray powder diffraction (XRD) are study influence mechanism UFC micropore structure cemented The unconfined compressive strength test (UCS) verify it. MIP, SEM, XRD results show that can significantly improve microscopic pore samples. hydration reaction rate increases with increase proportion UFC, generated products fill pores filling macropores enhanced, change from fibrous filling. enhanced cementation improved loose overhead inside sample. Enhancing improves sample integrity UCS verified strength. It achieves purpose reducing amount when foundations supports carbon emissions practical projects.
